My Sister's House is a local organization that provides shelter to domestic abuse victims. To assist in their ongoing needs, you can help by collecting and placing toiletries and personal care items in the collection bins in the hall by the Commons.

Saint Andrews is excited to be helping with the Episcopal Housing Ministry and their subsidized housing in the Rocky Mount area.  In addition to inviting residents to worship and Bible study with us, and helping with after school supplies, we are presently collecting school supplies and /or donations for supplies for the children.  Please place items in the collection bins in the hall just off the Commons.

A non-profit organization that provides home delivered nutritious, meals to seniors and those convalescing or with mental or physical disabilities. St. Andrew’s currently delivers meals on the third Thursday of each month.

Saint Andrews is pleased to be a collection point for food for United Community Ministries.  In addition to food, supplies are also collected for the Bassett Center, a shelter for single mothers and families who are trying to transition back into the community.

Text Box: Mission Trip to Mexico

Through the generosity of our parishioners and a few

businesses in our community, we were able to send 18 people to

Juarez, Mexico from June 10 through June 16, 2007 to build a

home for the Humberto family.  We sponsored several

fundraisers that were well-received.  Through God’s hands, we were able to help this family of five build a home for themselves.  It also serves as an example of God’s love for everyone in this community in Mexico.  This year, in June 2008, we sent 16 people back to Juarez and built a home and bathroom for the Hernandez family, a single mother and her two children.  And, once again, our parishioners supported us fully!

GateKeepers:  Every year, our youth and adults along with other churches in Rocky Mount update homes for needy families.
